Yū Watase

Yū Watase is actually a young shōjo manga author and artist. She was born March 5, 1970 in Osaka, Japan. Her first manga work was published in 1989, when she was just 18! Her debut manga Pajama de Ojama, which means Intruder in Pajamas, was published in Shojo Comics Issue 3.

Yū Watase enjoys watching science fiction, fantasy and comedy movies. She likes listening to music, her favorite being BGM instrumentals, and reading. Her name is romanized in many different ways. The correct way is Yū Watase, but has been written yu and yuu. She is well known for the bishonen that she draws, such as Tamahome from Fushigi Yuugi and Tooya from Ayashi no Ceres. Considering the short time since her first work was published she has written many mangas.
