Alphonse, the younger of the Elric brothers, is the soft one. He is kind and generous, as well as he is smart. While the two brothers were trying to bring their dead mother back to life, Alphonse lost his body, but Edward gave up his right arm, which led to Al's soul being attached to some armor lying around. So his body is cold (or hot if he's in the sun too long), but his heart is warm. Also, many people mistake him as the Fullmetal Alchemist.
