Kite is both an anime character and a game character in the .hack// series.Although,he is only showed in one anime,.hack.//Legend of the twilight bracelet,and in another,.hack//Quantum,where it is not Kite,but a female character dressed just like Kite.The anime character is different from the game character,because Kite is played by two different people in the game and anime.The games he is shown in are .hack//Infection,.hack//Mutation,.hack//Outbreak,and .hack//Quarantine.

In the anime of .hack//Legend of the twilight bracelet,two siblings,Shugo and his twin sister Rena,win the legendary characters Kite and Blackrose in an event held by the makers of the MMORPG "The World".As Kite and Blackrose had,Shugo and Rena make new friends,Ouka, Mirelle, Hotaru and Sanjuro in The World,while also finding out about the strange monsters that make people go into a coma.As the explore the game more,the truth starts to unravel.Soon enough,they have to find a way to solve the problem and make The World safe again.
